A lecturer, Hemlata has been working in the field of teaching for the last nine years. She struggled a lot and gained many experiences during her journey.

Hemlata Kumawat is a lecturer in Geography at Government Senior Secondary School, Udaipur.

Hemlata belongs to Jaipur. Initially, she joined government service in the Roadways and then worked as a third grade teacher in a school. She completed her MA in both Geography and English.

Talking about her journey, Hemlata says that she initially started working in the roadways, and then, after many hardships, she got selected as a third grade teacher. Afterwards, she continued her studies and worked hard for ten years to get the government job of a lecturer. In the year 2017, she got a first-grade teacher’s job in Gogunda, Udaipur, and worked there for six years. Then she got transferred to Manva Khera, Udaipur. She is more interested in teaching Geography as it connects students with nature.

When asked about her challenges, Hemlata says that she faced many challenges in her journey. She gained a lot of experience and continued with her studies to achieve better things in life. In the teaching field, she got to know about the level of education in villages and the actual situation of girl education. She says in villages, girls faced many difficulties in getting their education as they had to do household work, field work, etc. and didn’t get proper time to study.

Hemlata shares that she chose the educational field in order to give a better future to the next generation. In this field, she is able to share her knowledge with the students.

Comparing education and experience, Hemlata says that both play an important role in life. Without education, you can’t get experience, and without experience, you can’t get knowledge. A balance of education and experience is essential to growing in life.

In her spare time, Hemlata likes to talk with her students and tries to solve their problems for their overall development.

Hemlata’s role models are her mother and her guru, who have always supported and encouraged her to move forward in life.

Advising aspirants to her field, Hemlata says that it is important to be focused on getting basic knowledge. She says that if you are clear about the basics, you can easily solve the bigger problems. In order to prepare for a government job, it is important to do regular studies.
