Hemendra Sahu, hailing from Udaipur, Rajasthan, is engaged in a transport business that specialises in transporting marble. Moreover, his business undertakes the task of carrying goods from Udaipur to Mumbai.

Recalling his childhood spent in Udaipur, Hemendra fondly reminisces about carefree days filled with play. He pursued B.Com from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur and subsequently worked as an accountant at an engineering firm for two years. His career took a turn into stone crushing, which he left due to electricity issues, leading him to join his family business of transportation.

Hemendra says that the toughest time of his life was when he had a car accident and his driver got severely injured.

Hemendra looks up to his father because he was always on time, honest, and also engaged in social-work. He likes a quote by Swami Vivekananda that says ‘‘arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.’’

Comparing education and experience, Hemendra says that both education and experience are important in their own ways.

Talking about his mistakes, Hemendra says that earlier he used to procrastinate a lot, but now he finishes his work on time which has benefited his business too.

Sharing about his achievements, Hemendra says that leaving his job and joining business is his biggest achievement as whatever he is today, it is because of his business only.

Alongside his professional pursuits, he also likes travelling, hiking, swimming, playing cricket and spending time with his family and friends.

If he had a time machine to go back in time,  Hemendra would like to relive his childhood.

To anybody who wants to work in this field, he advises them to learn minute things about the business and keeping the staff members happy.
