Hemant Verma is the School Manager of BL International Smart School (BLISS), Todaraisingh, Tonk, a role he has been closely associated with for the past 14 years. During this long tenure, he has played a key role in shaping and managing the school’s overall operations and institutional framework.

His responsibilities go far beyond routine administration. As School Manager, he oversees infrastructure management, human resources, and the complete functioning of the residential hostel. This includes supervising daily schedules, maintaining discipline, and ensuring structured sports and co-curricular activities under continuous monitoring.

In addition to internal management, he handles all regulatory and board-related responsibilities. He has been actively involved in CBSE affiliation processes and other academic accreditations. Most recently, he successfully coordinated the Sainik School affiliation process, marking a significant milestone for the institution.

Beyond academics, Hemant Verma highlights the school’s commitment to holistic development through sustainable practices. The campus promotes polyhouse farming, producing pesticide-free vegetables for students. Alongside this, the school operates its own dairy farm, ensuring children receive pure, healthy, and nutritious meals daily. Alumni achievements include 16–17 Chartered Accountants, 9–10 IITians, and notably, a student from the first batch who recently cleared the RAS examination and is currently undergoing training.

He also highlights the school’s strong teaching faculty, comprising educators from over 15 states across India, creating a diverse and experienced academic team. Reflecting on his professional background, Hemant Verma shares that before entering the education sector, he worked with Moody International, a UK-based corporate organization, for nearly four years. He later joined the Bharti Airtel Foundation, where he managed quality standards across approximately 78 schools. This corporate exposure greatly influenced his structured approach to educational management.

He strongly believes that education is the foundation of national progress. According to him, quality educational institutions in smaller towns and rural areas play a crucial role in achieving balanced national development.

Speaking about the vision behind BL International Smart School, he acknowledges the commitment of the institution’s promoters, Mr. Kanhaiya Lal Ji Chaudhary and Mrs. Radha Chaudhary. Having faced challenges in accessing quality education themselves, their vision is to build a comprehensive learning ecosystem from pre-primary to higher education, ensuring strong foundations from an early age.

Sharing his personal roots, Hemant Verma mentions that he hails from Virat Nagar, historically known as Bairat, a place associated with Emperor Ashoka’s learning of peace and meditation. He completed his schooling at a government senior secondary school in Virat Nagar and later pursued higher education at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. His upbringing in a small-town environment combined with structured education continues to shape his leadership approach.

He draws inspiration from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, particularly his ability to take firm decisions under pressure, such as during the nuclear tests. Hemant Verma believes that decisive leadership, when guided by responsibility and vision, strengthens institutions. As a School Manager and HR leader, he acknowledges that difficult decisions are inevitable but essential for long-term growth.

Addressing health and sustainability, he explains that India’s economy is deeply connected to agriculture. Inspired by the promoters’ philosophy, the school has implemented rainwater harvesting, conserving approximately 25 lakh liters of water annually and returning it to the ecosystem. He emphasizes that the availability of natural resources today does not guarantee their presence tomorrow unless consciously preserved.

On language and education, he reflects on his Hindi-medium background and the challenges he faced later, realizing the importance of English-medium education.
