Hard work is the only key to success.
Hemant has been in the Hotel and Restaurant industry for the past twenty-two years. Currently, he is the GM of Khamma Ghani Restaurant in Udaipur.
Hemant was born and raised in Udaipur. He received his entire formal education in Udaipur itself.
Hemant thinks that in the restaurant industry Education is important but one’s Experience in the field matters more. He says that in the Hotel and Restaurant industry one learns with experience only how to give the guests the treatment and experience they deserve.
Talking about Covid, Hemant says that the pandemic hit the hospitality sector the most. He says that now the restaurant sector of the city is largely dependent on domestic tourists as opposed to earlier times when until 2020, there used to be a huge footfall of European tourists in the city. Besides, he says that during the pandemic, he provided food packets to the needy and also started packaged food delivery at the restaurant.
Hemant says that he did not have any education in Hotel Management. He worked really hard and came from the ground up by working in the industry.
To youngsters, Hemant says that the hotel industry has a really good scope. But he advises them to complete their relevant formal education before stepping into the industry to be able to deal with guests better. Besides, he advises them to remain patient as it takes time to grow in the industry.
If he could go back in time then Hemant would want to relive the period between the years 2005 and 2007 when he grew a lot both personally and professionally.
Hemant considers his father, who always encouraged him, as his role model.
