Hemant worked at JK Tyre and switched many careers before starting Bhumi Enterprises in Udaipur. He believes that one's education and morals are the only skills that are truly unique.

Hemant Chhajed is a Udaipur-based businessman and a pioneer in the construction industry.

Hemant started a job at Tata Textile’s shop after completing 10th grade. He liked working, and his only dream was to become independent. He joined the JK tire industry in 1981. He says that he switched a lot of jobs in his career, and he's proud of the experience he has achieved. A few years later, he left JK Tyre and moved to Mumbai for business purposes. He returned to Udaipur and started his real estate career. He is also a builder under his firm, Bhumi Enterprises.

Hemant has been living in a joint family since childhood. He had five siblings who helped him a lot and encouraged him. His father had a government job, so he always lived in a rental house. His only dream was to have his own house. Hemant is never ashamed of any sort of work. He says that my work is my god, and worshiping it is my duty.

Covid situations made him realize the importance of a joint family, as all the problems—financial, personal, etc.—were easily solved. He saw many families struggle, but he was happy that he did not have to go through such a family crisis. He strictly followed the COVID norms during the lockdown as he had a family, and he did not risk going out and infecting himself as well as others in his beloved family. After lockdown relaxations in India, he resumed his business, which is now flourishing.

According to Hemant, people who treat their parents with respect and give them all their love and care are highly respectable, as more of these people are required on the planet.

In his opinion, for a business to thrive, honesty, quality, and commitment are of utmost importance. Your representation of your business, along with your attitude and commitment toward everyone, determines your trustworthiness. Everything that you have earned—every material and physical wealth—can be stolen, but your education and morals are the only skills that cannot be duplicated. He advises focusing on your actions, as they always speak louder than words.

Hemant also helps students who are financially unstable but are excellent academically. His statement is that every child is the future of the country, and he wants the future to be bright. His contribution would be valuable if it were for the country.

When asked about his role models, Hemant says he considers his parents his role models, as it was his parents' teachings that made him a successful person.
