Heera is an honest policeman who feels fulfilled serving the community and has been in this profession since 1996.

Heera Lal Meena is Head Constable at Bhupalpura Police Station, Udaipur.

Heera was born in a village near the Gujarat border. He grew up with five brothers. Heera is often reminiscent of his childhood, as he considers that period of his life a golden period. He used to spend much time with his family, attending religious ceremonies along with his father and singing hymns.

Later, he moved to Kherwada, a small town, where he did his training at the police academy. Heera has been in the police department since 1996. Throughout his career, he has been posted at various places in and around Udaipur, such as Surajpole, Dhanmandi, Jawar Mines, and several others.

Heera, within two years of starting his police service, was about to get married. Prior to getting married, he vowed to build a house for his family. And to fulfill this dream, Heera had to take out a loan along with borrowing money from his brothers. This period for Heera was one of the toughest times of his life. Because he had the added burden of nullifying the loan along with maintaining a new job. Despite all this, Heera managed to take care of all these obstacles and got married in 1998 in his new home. This was a great achievement for Heera.

During the outbreak of the worldwide pandemic, Heera sent his family to their village home in order to keep them safe. Considering his work profile, Heera had to work during this time too, and he didn’t want to expose his family to any risk. Heera even tested positive for the coronavirus, but he soon recovered and did his duty with zest and loyalty towards the community.

Heera advises people to be dedicated and patient. Also, he points out that being in the police department puts a lot of responsibility on a person, and they should be able to abide by their duty.

Heera considers that the blessing of parents is something that should always be people’s priority. He even believes that every person should spend some time with his or her family every day. Heera says that whatever he is today, it is because of his father’s valuable guidance.

Heera believes that both education and experience play an integral role in building a person’s outlook and career. Lastly, Heera says that people should be kind and intolerant of wrongdoing. They should take a stand and support their beliefs.
