A leader driven by her desire to contribute to the society, Haseena Chakkiwala served as an Executive Member in the UCCI and is a Female Charter Member of TiE, Udaipur. She also served as a panellist for WONASA (World Natural Stone Association), Spain, and is associated with various stone federations like FIGSI and CII.

Haseena Chakkiwala serves as the CEO of Quality Marble Exports India (QMEI), a company specialising in exporting marble, granite, sandstone, cobbles and pebbles. They also cater to local households and excel in project-based work.

In her role as the CEO, Haseena oversees marketing and sales, leading a dedicated team. She says they craft their marketing strategy a month in advance and execute their plans on a daily basis, especially leveraging the power of social media.

As a leader, Haseena has always been driven by a desire to contribute to society. Impressed by the various programmes conducted by UCCI- the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & industry, she decided to get involved with the organisation and stood in the election for the position of Executive Member and won the election seven times.

Haseena served as an Executive Member in the UCCI for nearly seven years, chairing the MSME and Women Empowerment Committees. She also holds the distinction of being the only female charter member of TiE Udaipur and is actively involved in the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM). During the COVID pandemic, she served as a panellist for WONASA (World Natural Stone Association), Spain, and is associated with various stone federations like FIGSI and CII.

Born and raised in Udaipur, Haseena completed her schooling at St. Gregorios Senior Secondary School, where she received several accolades including the ‘Miss Gregorios’ and ‘Best Gregorian’ awards. She pursued her M.Com. from Commerce College, MLSU, Udaipur.

Recalling her childhood, Haseena shares that her father passed away when she was only a year old, leaving her mother to raise her and her two sisters. Her mother, determined to provide for her family, learned to type and started working at Hindustan Zinc Limited. She attributes her own strength and capabilities to her mother's resilience and hard work during those challenging times.

Regarding her role models, Haseena says she found inspiration in Shahrukh Khan’s life story after reading his case study. She learned from him the importance of focusing on minute details, which can benefit not only you but also your colleagues. Her favourite quote is “Act like a fool, but be wise". She also believes that time waits for no one, and the world keeps moving forward.

Haseena emphasises that struggles are necessary because they enable us to learn something new. She sees struggle as part of a cycle where, after facing challenges, achievements follow.

Sharing her achievements, Haseena highlights that, while she has accomplished many things in her life, the first awards she received from her school hold a special place in her heart.

Haseena encourages all women to effectively manage their time. Drawing from her own experience of getting married during her third year of college and becoming a mother shortly after, she highlights the importance of determination and time management. She firmly believes that a woman can achieve anything she sets her mind on, even after marriage and motherhood, with proper planning and dedication. She advises women to plan their day's schedule in advance to make time for their pursuits alongside their other responsibilities.

Recognising Udaipur as a hub for the marble industry, Haseena sees vast opportunities for growth and encourages participation in the sector. She emphasises how marble installations can help people connect more with nature. Despite the industry being labour-intensive, she proudly mentions employing women in their factory. She believes that caring for employees and treating them like family contributes significantly to a company's growth.

Haseena's message is one of patience, emphasising that growth takes time, particularly organic growth.

She encourages everyone to give back to society and become a source of motivation for others.
