Passionate about teaching since her childhood, Harmeet realised her dream and has accumulated a twenty-year long experience in the field.

Harmeet Kaur is a Teacher at the Witty International School.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Harmeet currently resides in Udaipur. She did her schooling at the Auxilium Convent School, where she had a memorable time. She went on to do her graduation in Accountancy Honours, followed by MCA.

During her graduation, Harmeet had started her teaching journey by working in a pre-primary school. She worked there for about four years and then she got married and moved to Udaipur. She then took up teaching in the Seedling Model School in Udaipur and taught there for two years. Eventually, she came to Witty International School after taking a break of five years from working as she had children. And she has been working there for the past eleven years.

Harmeet says that she chose to pursue Teachers Training, instead of studying Astrology or Computer Science which were her newfound interest, due to her passion and skill set in the teaching field.

Talking about role models in her life, Harmeet says that her father’s dedication and hard work made him her role model. She says that she too has inherited these qualities from her father.

When free, Harmeet likes listening to music and going on outings with her family. She also likes watching refreshing shows on television.

Speaking of achievements in her life, Harmeet says that one of her biggest achievements was when she was awarded the best teacher award by her school five years ago. She says that being a teacher, she also feels proud when her students appreciate her contribution in their lives.

Sharing her COVID experience, Harmeet says that it was a tough time for everyone. She personally faced mental pressure as it became difficult to manage both her personal and professional life efficiently. She says that teaching through the online mode was rather more hectic than it is through the offline mode. She further says that COVID took the real toll on her when she got infected herself during the second wave, while she was already facing financial issues.

Advising her students, Harmeet says that wherever you go, you should not forget your elders, parents, and teachers. She further advises them to be humble and disciplined.

Advising the youth, Harmeet says that you should have multiple income sources. Adding to it, she says that you should always look for selfless help.
