Harish K. Prajapat is the founder of Jainy Education Consultancy, based in Udaipur. He provides guidance regarding college and university admissions to students both in India and abroad. Harish has 41 countries and 750 colleges and universities on his list.

Talking about his professional journey, Harish says he started Jainy Education in 2010 and works within India on both regular and distance courses. He also facilitates admissions in the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and European countries, which also have some free programmes. Harish also facilitates medical education for students in countries like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

Harish says that career counselling starts after the 10th grade, when students have to choose their stream. He adds that through his venture, students are guided and made aware of their expected performance in entrance exams and the rank they need to score to get into the colleges of their choice. Harish also helps students with job placements.

Recalling his childhood, Harish says he hails from Rajsamand. He shares that he was a naughty kid and was always keen on playing sports like volleyball, football, cricket, and swimming. His interest in sports made his father worried about his performance in school. So, his father sent him to Sikar to study at a boarding school, which gave him a new perspective on life.

Harish shares that his father was in the education department, and his decision to send him to Sikar made over 120 students move to that school. Having noticed this, Harish was asked by the school authorities to handle admissions and career counselling for them. Life took a different turn for Harish, and he later decided to make it a profession.

Thereafter, Harish took admission to BCA and started working along with his studies. He worked hard and also completed his master's degree. Harish started with one college and expanded his reach to 750 universities and 41 countries, which he counts as an achievement. He has done career counselling of more than 14,000 students and has 24 offices across India.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Harish says he feels that one should first focus on education and then gain relevant experience to grow in their field. He says that with the advent of the new National Education Policy, students now have diverse subjects to choose from and can explore different streams.

Harish advises all students to undergo career counselling and then make a career choice for themselves. He motivates students to pursue research and contribute to their subject field. Harish advises everyone to stay optimistic, which will help keep negativity at bay.
