Owner at a handicraft shop, Hanuman suggests staying positive, working hard, and caring for parents. COVID-19 affected his business, but he stayed resilient.

Hanuman Devasi is the owner of Ankit Handicraft in Pushkar.

Hanuman says that he is from Pushkar. He finished school till the 10th grade in Pushkar itself. After that, instead of continuing with studies, he started working at a friend's shop that sold clothes. He did this for about seven to eight years. Later, because there was a lot of competition in the clothing market, he decided to sell toys instead. He has been doing this for the past five to six years. Now, he also makes handicrafts.

Reminiscing about his childhood, Hanuman says that when he was a kid, he had a lot of fun with his friends. He remembers playing with tourists who came to Pushkar to visit  the famous Brahma Temple. He had a good upbringing and learned good values.

Hanuman looks up to his father and wants to be like him.

Hanuman thinks that education and experience are both different but equally important.

Hanuman advises everyone to keep moving forward, work hard to earn money, never give up, and even if you're feeling sad, don't let it show to others.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a big effect on his business. It took almost a year for his business to get better after all the problems caused by the pandemic, says Hanuman.

Hanuman's advice for young people is to take good care of their parents. He also says they should eat healthy, earn money honestly, and stay away from anything that's not right.
