A Beautician and Makeup Artist, Hansa Soni is the perfect example of how a woman can create her own identity whilst juggling her roles as a working woman, mother, wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law at the same time.

Hansa Soni is a Makeup Artist and Skin Therapist based in Udaipur city. She is the owner of the salon named, “ The Makeover Beauty Salon.”

Hansa was born and raised in a small village in Bhilwara. She completed her schooling in her village itself. After her wedding, she came to Udaipur to live with her in-laws there.

Hansa says that after her kids had grown up a bit, her husband enrolled her in a course at Mahila Polytechnic College to learn the art of Makeup. After completing the course, she worked for around nine years at different salons. And then when she felt that she should do something of her own, she started her salon.

Hansa says that it’s very tough for a married woman to do something of her own and fulfill her household duties at the same time. But she acknowledges that her husband and in-laws always supported and encouraged her to become a beautician.

Talking about struggles in her life, Hansa says that juggling her roles as a working woman, mother, wife, and daughter-in-law entailed its own set of challenges. However, in hindsight, she is happy that those tough times enabled her to live a good life today.

Hansa thinks that whatever you do in life, your time is the most important thing in life. Therefore, she teaches her team to be punctual and the same is her advice to other people too.

Talking about her achievements in life, Hansa says that being able to win the trust of her clients is her biggest achievement.

In the future, Hansa aspires to take her salon to newer heights and to make more people aware of the importance of having good skin.

Her Success Mantra is, “However adverse the situation is, never give in.”

In her spare time, Hansa likes to spend time with her family and listen to music.

Her leadership style is to treat everyone nicely in the team and teach everyone in the team professional ethics whilst at the same time following the same herself.

Talking about Covid, Hansa says that during the pandemic, all the salons were ordered shut. At that time she was working at a salon. But later when things normalized, she opened her own salon. She advises people to follow all the Covid protocols as we are still not over the pandemic.

To aspiring make-up artists, Hansa says that the beauty industry has a really good scope in the future. However, the industry demands a lot of hard work and therefore, she advises them to keep practicing as practice only will make them perfect in their makeup art. Besides, she advises them never to give up in life as nothing is impossible to achieve.
