Leaving behind poverty, Gyan Prakash is working passionately to make his clients' homes colorful and beautiful and also motivates his employees to make them feel proud and happy in their work.

Gyan Prakash Meena is the Director of Home Color Paint Solution in Jaipur. His basic work is to color and paint his clients’ homes, buildings and offices in a professional way. He also desires to create good feelings in his employees’ minds that they are privileged painters.

Prakash Meena was born and brought up in a village in Jaipur. He was born into a poor family. He completed his senior secondary education but his family's financial constraints did not allow him to study further.

Talking about his struggles in life, Prakash says that when he was in 8th class, one of his acquaintances offered him a painter’s job. He was initially paid 50 rupees per day and one glass of milk for which he had to work hard full day. Being poor, Prakash accepted the offer and worked for five years. He continued his studies and did M.Com along with his job.

Sharing about his journey, Prakash says that he felt that there is no scope in this field. He thought of doing something of his own. Using his experience, he started working as a painting contractor but he was unsatisfied with this job also. After some time, he started his own company called Home Color Paint Solution in a unique way. Now he has more than 80 employees and five branches of his company in Jaipur.

When asked about his role models, Prakash says that his family and his parents are his role models. He says that he always works to make them happy and this is the best motivation for him. He feels satisfied that his family feels proud of him and leads a better life because of him. Prakash further desires to work for his family’s happiness in future, too.

Sharing his Covid experience, Prakash says that his business came to a standstill due to the pandemic. He started working from home, kept in coordination with the clients and cooperated with his employees to sustain his company. He kept his thoughts positive that everything will be fine and they will have a bright future again.

In his spare time, Prakash likes to travel, watch movies and perform exercises to keep himself fit and healthy.

To the aspirants in this field, Prakash suggests loving their work and says that they should not take it as a low-grade career. Being a painter is a very good job and has a bright future, says Prakash.

To one and all, Prakash says that they should give respect to the painters at their homes. Everybody should be given a chance to work in their own way.
