Following his passion for learning and gaining knowledge, Gurnandan founded Head and Heart, where he offers training processes embedded with life-enhancing skills.

Gurnandan Singh is the founder of Head and Heart , a platform that trains people to enhance their mid-brain capabilities. He has been in this field for six years.

Born and brought up in Delhi, Gurnandan studied at Greenfields Public School. Owing to his father’s job, he and his family later shifted to Patiala, Punjab. Continuing his education further, Gurnandan studied at Our Lady of Fatima Convent Secondary School, followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya. For higher education, he took up commerce and later did his MBA as well.

Gurnandan spent 23 years of his life in the corporate world before embarking on the journey of entrepreneurship. He has worked with big brands like Idea Cellular, Airtel , Reliance, and Aircel. Gurnandan made his first entrepreneurial attempt as a 17-year-old helping dealers in conducting surveys, which he could continue only for a few months. After a break, he started his own organization in Delhi that dealt in computers. However, for some business reasons, he had to wrap it up.

Thereafter, Gurnandan entered the telecom industry in 1997 and was associated with it until 2014. It was during his personal trip to Malaysia that he came to know about a concept that could enhance brain capabilities, which he first applied to his daughters, followed by the launch of his training center, Head and Heart.

Just when Gurnandan was at the peak of his corporate career, he took a radical shift to start his own company, which was indeed a risky call for him and his family members. He shares that it was not easy for him to run a private limited company, which came with its own expenses. However, he kept faith in himself and was later rewarded for the fruits of his struggles. Gurnandan reveals that he has been honored by both the honorable President of India and business tycoon Mukesh Ambani.Training the defense intelligence of the country came as a big milestone for him. Presenting his business idea on the popular show "Shark Tank" was a proud moment for Gurnandan.

Talking about the pandemic, Gurnandan shares that he started online training modules for "Head and Heart," where participants from seven countries joined him in the session.

When asked about his mistakes, Gurnandan says that he had little idea about the importance of trademarks and copyrights at the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. He adds that it was only later that he realized the necessity of hiring the right people for his company who would generate the best outcomes.

When asked about his role models, Gurnandan says that he draws inspiration from his grandfather, who motivated him to keep learning in life. He adds that his grandparents also introduced him to the world of spirituality, which somewhat shaped his social life later on. On the professional front, he is inspired by his corporate gurus, Ajay Bhatia, Manoj Kohli, MD Prasad, and Rajendra Arora, to name a few. Gurnandan is also grateful to his wife, who motivated him to take this step in life.

Gurnandan advises aspiring entrepreneurs to be passionate, patient, and to have a never-give-up attitude. He adds that it is important to keep certain savings separate so that one’s lifestyle is not affected during the tough times.

Gurnandan advises the younger generation to avoid stress and to find fun ways to learn and study. He suggests they focus on their goal and plan ahead in life.

In his free time, Gurnandan likes to travel and spend time with his daughters. He believes in dreaming big and working on his karma without expecting any results.
