Gurleen Arora is a teacher at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur. She has been associated with the teaching field for the past eleven years.

She joined this school during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has been two years since then. Here, she finds opportunities to keep learning something new every day and finds her mentors at the school to be very helpful. Her mentors keep her in challenging roles and encourage her to share and implement her opinions as well. Thus, it has been a good experience for her after being associated with the renowned school in Udaipur.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, Arora did her basic education here itself. Later, when she got married to a family in Udaipur, she was blessed with two kids. Later, she decided to pursue her graduation from Ahmedabad. Before joining Rockwoods High School, Udaipur, she had a rich experience working as a centre head, principal, and teacher in other institutions.

Gurleen Arora looks up to her mother as a role model. Watching her mother navigate various difficult phases of life deeply motivates her.

While drawing a comparison between education and experience, Arora believes that experience is more beneficial than having a degree on paper. Being a teacher, Arora points out how students adopt what the teachers share in a classroom very easily. Hence, she focuses on imparting knowledge and spreading smiles in the process. She also adds that practical knowledge always has an edge over bookish knowledge.

Arora believes that youth should be given the liberty to pursue a career of their choice and interest. She also adds that it is important to enjoy your work to be successful in it.

In her spare time, she enjoys listening to soft music and pampering herself. She is also into arts and crafts and believes in utilising her free time to learn something new. Occasionally, she indulges in reading books as well.
