Gunjan has joined his family's cafe business and thinks it takes a lot of work and patience to integrate into a well-established system.

Gunjan Vaishnav is the proprietor of the Mayur Cafe in Udaipur. After Covid, he has been supporting his family's business for the last two years. His father founded this cafe in 1986.

Gunjan was born and brought up in Udaipur. He completed his secondary education in Udaipur itself. The rest of his education was completed at SGVP School in Ahmedabad. He graduated from De Montfort University. He completed two years of his course at this university in Indore and the final year in Leicester, UK.

When asked about his challenges, Gunjan admits that he, too, has faced difficulties. The pandemic wave had already reached India when he returned to India and joined the family business, and it also had an impact on other businesses. It was also a challenge for him to manage the staff and other stuff.

When asked about his role models, Gunjan says his mother is his role model. According to him, his mother never stopped having faith in him. He also looks up to his sister as an inspiration because she raised him like a mother and taught him to treat others with respect. In his profession, he looks up to his father as a role model.

Gunjan enjoys gardening in the mornings in his spare time. Other than that, he enjoys reading books and going on outings with friends.

Gunjan’s life mantra is - “Always be happy and spread happiness to the people around you”.

Gunjan advises aspiring restaurant owners to be patient and respect everyone, whether they are guests, juniors, or seniors.
