Drawing from his 40-year experience of working in several cement companies as a mining manager, Govardhan now inspires students by giving them life coaching and leadership lectures. He believes that perseverance and hard efforts result in success.

Govardhan Nandwana is a Motivational Speaker, Life Coach and Trainer who is the Founder-CEO of Global Leadership Nurturing Academy.

Govardhan shares that he spent the last 40 years working as a mining engineer in several cement factories, rising from the position of Junior Mining Engineer to Assistant Vice President. He was employed for the longest time at Shree Cement in Beawar. Over his 17 years there as an engineer, he had a great time and learned a lot. He was eventually included in  the management of the company as he advanced in his career. In addition, he also used to oversee the Integrated Management System, the Raw Material Handling Department, and the Audit Department of the company.

Govardhan says initially, he received promotions every other year, but once the position of AVP-Mines was established, a significant amount of time went by during which he did not receive any promotion. So, he decided to impart his knowledge as a consultant in order to advance in life. Later, he was given the chance to serve as a consultant with the Dalmia Bharat Group for a year. There, he managed every mine and cement plant of the company and prepared mining and raw material handling reports. He also worked on the projects and operational mines of Dangote Cement  in Nigeria and Ethiopia for 4 years.

In addition, he completed a three-day Leadership Training course in the United States. Using that experience as a starting point, he established the GLN Academy in Udaipur. He organized several workshops in libraries and schools, as well as free webinars. In order to provide students the practical information they need to progress in life in addition to their academic knowledge, he gives them lectures that are both motivating and life-coaching.

Govardhan was born and raised in a middle class family in Rajsamand. He still values the support and affection of his elders whenever he thinks back to the times he spent growing up with them. He finished his sixth, seventh, and eighth grades in his village, Chhapli. Together with his extracurricular involvement in politics, athletics, and cultural events, he completed his further education in Rajsamand.

After graduating from Udaipur with a Diploma in Mining Engineering, he started working. He completed an AMI correspondence degree in mining while he was employed. Obtaining a competency certificate from the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad, according to him, is crucial for mining. His chances of success increased once he passed the test. Subsequently, he progressed from Manager to Assistant Vice President, carrying out a variety of duties during his tenure.

When asked about his role models, Govardhan says he was inspired by different individuals at every turn of life. His grandfather taught him discipline and had an impact on him. His parents were great motivators to him as well since they felt that everyone should go along with anything. In his professional life, Mahendra Singhi, the Executive Director of Shree Cement, has been his mentor.

The sayings, "Help yourself and God will also help you," and "Success is the result of hard work and struggle," are what encourage and inspire him. He always listens to the song "Jiska Koi Nahi Uska Toh Khuda Hai Yaaron" while he's feeling lonely.

Govardhan holds that life is a struggle and that struggle is life, and that how you handle life's struggles matters. He thinks that the messages we send to our minds greatly assist us in overcoming obstacles. When we view obstacles as opportunities for growth, we become stronger and wiser. Both in his personal and professional lives, he encountered numerous challenges. He had to work night hours at first, but he overcame these difficulties and welcomed the challenges of competition. As he oversaw several divisions, he had to work diligently and always pay attention, which was his another challenge.

Speaking about his accomplishments, Govardhan states that the Shree Cement Mines annually observe Environment and Safety Week at the zonal level. His Mines won several accolades for their cooperative efforts. In addition, he was given the ‘Rashtrapati Award’ by President Pratibha Patil, as the management’s representative for his organization, for upholding safety.

Govardhan suggests that having a clear objective, a vision, and an optimistic outlook are crucial to succeed in life. Always have a purposeful life with well-defined goals and indulge in effective time management. However, it's also critical to be innovative, creative, and up-to-date in your field of work. Your progress will be excellent if you possess both technical competence and leadership qualities.

To the youth, he says that instead of focusing on what to become in life, focus more on what to do. Always give your best in the field in which you have passion and interest, you will get results sooner or later.
