Gopal says that as a kid he would see his father work extremely hard. Looking at his father’s struggle he was determined to do something that could change the status-quo. He wasn’t much inclined toward studies so he tried his hands in many professions like stitching clothes, working as a mechanic etc. He says that whilst he was working as a mechanic situations were not favourable so he left it. Later he became interested in arts.
Though he had started painting at an early age whilst he was in the 6th standard, to pursue it full-time he went out of Udaipur. He worked for 6 years out of Udaipur for different people. But later he realized that he wasn’t getting the reward in proportion to the hard work he was putting in. So he decided to be an independent artist. As an independent artist he has done many artworks and some of his artworks have been highly acclaimed. Initially he did miniature paintings but later he took to mughal style of painting.
