As an educator, Gopal Kumar specializes in AI and Data Science. He secured 23rd rank in RPET, published several research papers, and also completed many certifications from IIT Kanpur. He encourages students to focus on emerging fields like AI for success.

Gopal Kumar serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering at Techno NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur.

In his role, he contributes significantly to the academic development of the students, imparting knowledge and skills essential for success in the field of Computer Science Engineering.

Gopal Kumar highlights that the Department of Computer Science Engineering at Techno NJR Institute of Technology offers two branches: Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Each year, approximately 480 students enroll in the CSE branch, while the newly introduced AI branch has 30 seats available for students.

As an Associate Professor, Gopal Kumar teaches subjects such as Compiler Design, Theory of Computation, and Data Structures. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he manages various departmental tasks, including student attendance and guiding new faculty members in their professional development. He also mentors students on projects in various languages like Python, Android, and more.

The Department of Computer Science Engineering at Techno NJR Institute of Technology also organizes training programs in various programming languages, including Python, C++, C, Java, and Object-Oriented Programming, as well as Data Structures. Additionally, they offer knowledge on emerging technologies like Grid Hub technology. The department provides specialized training in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Furthermore, they assist students in preparing for interviews, offering guidance on interview strategies and helping them secure placements in reputable companies.

In terms of achievements, Gopal Kumar proudly shares that he secured the 23rd rank in the Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) out of 10 to 11 thousand students. He has published several research papers and is actively working in the fields of AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.

Gopal Kumar has also participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and completed various certification courses. He is currently involved in a data analysis project with some software companies. Additionally, he holds certifications in Data Science Engineering and AI from IIT Kanpur.

Talking about his inspirations, Gopal Kumar says he draws inspiration from two iconic figures: Lal Bahadur Shastri and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Both of them rose from humble beginnings to achieve great success. Lal Bahadur Shastri, hailing from a small village in Uttar Pradesh, would cross a river daily to attend school, a testament to his dedication and perseverance. This story deeply inspires Gopal, who, like Shastri, comes from a tribal area in Banswara, where good schools were scarce. Similarly, Dr. Kalam, from a small village in Tamil Nadu, went on to hold the highest position in the country, which further motivates Gopal.

He also regards his parents as his role models, attributing his strong work ethic to the example set by them. His father, a retired principal, was a hardworking individual who balanced his responsibilities as an educator with managing the family's traditional business. His mother, too, played a key role in the family business. Witnessing his parents' dedication and ability to juggle multiple roles taught Gopal the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving success and personal growth.

Gopal Kumar shares that after working in several companies, he realized that he wasn’t gaining the exposure to new technologies that he desired. This led him to choose the education field, where he could not only work with cutting-edge technologies but also teach them to students, helping foster their growth. He believes that teaching allows him to stay updated with the latest advancements and also provides an opportunity for growth in the research field.

Gopal Kumar, originally from Banswara, completed his schooling there itself before passing the RPET exam in 1998, where he secured the 23rd rank in Rajasthan. He then pursued his studies at MNIT from 1998 to 2002. Following this, he joined Oracle, a renowned software company, in Hyderabad.

His career path later led him to an engineering college, BMIT, in Jaipur, where he continued to grow professionally. In 2010, he completed his M.Tech. Gopal Kumar then moved on to Kautilya Engineering College in Jaipur before joining Techno NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur, in 2024, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering.

Reflecting on his childhood, Gopal Kumar fondly recalls his college days. He shares that when he first joined MNIT, the first year felt very long, but the second, third, and fourth years passed by so quickly that he didn’t even realize it. He often thinks back to his school and college days with nostalgia.

The quote by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "If your signature is converted into an autograph, then you get success," motivates Gopal Kumar the most. It serves as a source of inspiration, fueling his determination and driving him to move forward in life.

To new aspirants who wish to join the engineering field, Gopal Kumar advises focusing on a strong foundation in basic science and mathematics. He highlights the growing potential of technology, particularly in AI, which offers numerous opportunities.

Gopal Kumar emphasizes that AI has a vast scope with various subfields like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, and Data Science, all offering great career prospects. He also points out that Computer Science Engineering is one of the largest branches in engineering, with a wide range of certification courses available, enabling students to secure excellent placements.

To the youth, Gopal Kumar advises that students graduating from institutions like NITs and IITs who go abroad should consider working in India, as their contributions could significantly aid in the nation's development. He believes that if we develop the technologies we import from foreign countries, we can propel India forward.

He also suggests that the school education system should introduce skill development courses starting from the sixth grade. This will allow children to excel in technology while also getting exposure to sports. By identifying each child's strengths early on, we can guide them towards fields where they can contribute to the country's growth and development, says Gopal.
