Gopal Agarwal is an empathetic social worker contributing to society through Organic Farming. His life story speaks of mistakes, learnings, personal growth, social service, courage, strong will, and devotion.

Gopal Agarwal is the Founder and Director of Kedar Farm Fresh, a farming company dedicated to assisting the farmers and providing solutions to their problems. Gopal became a farmer with the motive to better understand the needs and pains of the farmers and provide them with suitable solutions. To achieve this motive, he made some products for improving soil health, plant growth, and plant protection. As a farmer and entrepreneur, he feels satisfied by supplying useful and effective products to the farmers.

Gopal started his journey in organic farming in 1982 when he discovered food adulteration on a personal level. He decided to do organic farming for his family but then thought of doing it for society as well.  From 1982 to 1987, he devoted his time learning about the field. Gopal met many prominent figures in the organic farming realm from different states like MP and Maharashtra. He learned from them and developed his knowledge. Lastly, he combined the knowledge gained from all the eminent figures to produce the recipe of a product that will help farmers in producing fresh and organic food.

Gopal Agarwal belongs to Solapur in Pali District, and his father owned a cotton factory in the small town.  Gopal completed his graduation in Law from Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur. Gopal didn’t want to work as a lawyer and had different goals. While studying in Solapur, he observed that the teachers in rural areas are not qualified much. Therefore, he started a publishing company to publish books with high-value knowledge. He believes the value of the knowledge provided by those books was ten times more than their price. He worked satisfactorily as a publisher until 1982 when he got triggered to enter into organic farming.

Gopal believes that success equals satisfaction. Since the satisfaction of every individual is derived from different things, everyone’s success is different. Some feel satisfied with money, some feel it by social work, some by inner beauty, etc. Hence, success is the satisfaction gained by doing specific work.

Gopal’s role model in his life is his father. His father’s strength, dedication, and self-belief to build his business from scratch in an unknown town, gave Gopal the will and inspiration to start new ventures without fear. He has learned to give hundred percent effort with full honesty from his father.

The motivation or vision behind Kedar Fresh Farms is dreaming of a healthy society. Gopal believes that the health of a society is dependent on its farmers. Thus, he believes that once the farmers feel responsible for the health of society, they will never use chemicals.

Gopal feels that it was his mistake to study Law and not Organic Farming at the University.

Gopal motivates the youth to start new ventures without worrying and overthinking. He feels that any work that holds ethical values and benefits the people is never a failure.

Talking about Kedar Farm Fresh, he says that he is confident that it will prosper in the future. Organic farming is the future since it solves lots of problems. In today’s world, every individual is suffering from some health issue, and most of it is due to contaminated food. He believes that organic farming has a bright future as a career option. His son, an M-Tech and IT professional, has joined his father’s farming business. He believes organic farming is a business and also a form of social service. It is the best way to serve society by providing them fresh and pure food and earning in return. Moreover, organic farming is a tax-free business.

Gopal thinks his greatest achievement is convincing his son to join his farming business. He believes that unless the farming business is carried forward from one generation to another, society won’t benefit.

Knowledge and Experience are interrelated, as he feels. Knowledge is a must for trying new experiments and keenly observing to learn from those experiments. He believes when we apply those learnings, we gain valuable experience in the practical world.

In his free time, Gopal spends time with his family, watches cricket, thinks about new products, and how to update existing products.

Gopal advocates the importance of good food for good sleep, a healthy mind, optimum energy levels, and productivity at work.

Gopal believes that literature plays a prominent role in shaping individuals and society. He was a devout son to his mother, and the story ‘Idgah’ by Prem Chand inspired him a lot as a child.
