Glenn is a multi-talented personality with a penchant for being on the stage, giving performances and winning hearts through his impeccable voice quality as a Radio Presenter.

Glenn Saldanha famously known as RJ Glenn is a Radio Jockey by profession at Fever 104 FM in Mumbai. He also hosts a TV show on Masti and performs stand up comedy occasionally. Glenn is blessed with dynamism and a fun-loving demeanour being a Radio Presenter, Digital Content Creator and TEDx Speaker.

Glenn shares that since his childhood he was very much inclined towards theatre, drama, debates and storytelling. His mother identified the qualities in him of picking up accents and observing people and imitating their skills. Glenn shares that his father used to put VHS tapes of Michael Jackson and Maine Pyar Kiya which he truly enjoyed and took inspiration from. He says that he never let his academics suffer and was good at sports as well.

Glenn started his journey as a Radio Presenter a decade back and had the zeal in him to transform his childhood vision into his passion and finally a full-time profession.

For aspiring RJs or any performing artist, Glenn advises one to connect with their audience offering them creativity and dynamism while maintaining the very essence of who they are at the core. He adds that one also needs to be honest and should keep practising with regards to voice modulation and listening to your recorded shows to analyse it at the initial stages.

Talking about struggles, Glenn says that every profession has its own challenges. He shares that it’s been ten years now that he has been waking up at 4 am to entertain his listeners and is in love with his profession which he counts as an achievement. He adds that RJs have to undergo preparation and practice before going live. Glenn is inspired by the quote “With great power, comes great responsibility.”

Glenn asserts that one mistake we all make is to be too hard on ourselves and setting a level to achieve after every passing age. Living in a world flooded with social media, Glenn says that we shouldn’t compare ourselves with people and make sure to be kind and indulge in self-talk. Being grateful and cheering up ourselves should be a part of our lives, believes Glenn.

Glenn quotes Bruce Lee’s ‘Be like water, flow like water’ since water takes the shape of the utensil it is placed in. He advises everyone to be fluid like water and don’t be stuck. He adds that people should learn from opportunities, explore, learn, observe and have a wider vision of things.

Glenn says that his dance group has been a constant and Choreographer Terence Lewis has mentored him professionally and helped him navigate through many things in life for which he is grateful.

Glenn, in his leisure time, likes to indulge in yoga to unwind himself, listen to music and podcasts, play video games with his brother and read books.

To wind up, he says that none can beat you if you never give up and people who are ignoring you today will clap for you tomorrow.
