Driven by a strong determination to prove his worth, Gautam set his foot in Mutual Fund Distributorship and has built a strong business in Udaipur along with earning a good name for himself in the mutual fund and financial planning industry.

Gautam Rathore is a Mutual Fund Distributor and a Financial Planner based in Udaipur. He has been doing this work successfully for the last twenty years. Besides, he is also a social worker and is a Joint Chairman of a society called, Mahavir International.

Gautam belongs to Udaipur. He did his schooling from a Government School. He did his B.A. from MLSU. Then he did a Shorthand course in Stenography from the Sanjeev Group of Colleges. On this basis, he got a job in the Railways and worked there for five years. Then he set up a business of his own. After some time, he again did a private job for three years. Finally, fed up with all this hopping, he finally decided to establish his footing in the mutual fund business and never looked back.

When asked about his role models, Gautam says he considers his father as his role model for imbibing good values in him and for teaching him to think well of others before himself.

Describing his struggles, Gautam says that in his first business, he had invested money in IPOs and Company deposits. He suffered a huge loss in that business due to the global recession and the next two years were full of struggle for him. Even in such difficult times, he did not let his determination break and again set out to build his business, and finally, he proved himself.

Sharing his COVID experience, Gautam says that during the pandemic, several changes took place such as the businesses were closed, and people lost their jobs, but the mutual fund was the only field that went on and no harm was caused to his business. He conducted virtual conferences for the investors and continued his work. On the personal front, he spent quality time with his family and bonded strongly with them.

According to Gautam, education is crucial to make a career because the more knowledge you gain, the more you will be successful in moving forward. Further, he says that just sitting at home with knowledge does not bring success. You will have to work hard, put in the effort, and gain expertise in your field and then on the basis of your experience, you will be able to achieve your goal.

Regarding leadership, Gautam says that when you have complete knowledge of your field, then your leadership qualities automatically build on the basis of that knowledge and your work experience.

In his spare time, Gautam enjoys gardening and going for morning walks to keep himself physically fit. Besides, he loves spending time with young children and taking laughter therapy. He is also fond of planting trees and giving voluntary service in the hospital.

Gautam encourages today’s youth to come into the mutual fund industry and advises them to make a career in this field. He adds that you can join it after your graduation and then study alongside to go a long way in this industry by specializing in it.
