Gaurav Saini is a Yoga Teacher. He runs a Yoga Studio named “Swastika Yoga Studio” in Visakhapatnam. He has been working in the field of yoga for the last twelve years. He belongs to Nakur, Saharanpur but is currently residing in Visakhapatnam.
When asked how he developed his interest in the yoga field, Gaurav says that he was inclined a bit towards yoga since his childhood. He says that he used to go to the RSS Shakha where they used to teach yoga and exercise and that is where he grew his interest in yoga. He suffered from Epilepsy at a point in his life due to which he became very weak, and the doctor suggested he do some exercise along with the medications, and that increased his interest in the field of yoga.
Recalling his childhood memories, Gaurav says that he belongs to a middle-class family and has spent his childhood in a small town. He had faced many financial issues during childhood. He completed his schooling and graduated from his hometown Nakur and then shifted to Haridwar for further studies. From there he did PG Diploma in Yoga and also completed his masters from Haridwar.
Talking about his journey, Gaurav says that after completing his masters, he did a job in a rehabilitation center for around eight months. From there he came to know about various kinds of addictions and how he can help people quit their addictions. Thereafter, he joined Kendriya Vidyalaya as a Yoga teacher, where he learned about various techniques for managing and teaching a group of people. Then he applied to SARVA Yoga, which is a very big yoga company. Staying within that company, he got appointed to Chennai and then to Visakhapatnam. After the lockdown, he started his own yoga studio and has been running his studio in Visakhapatnam since then.
Regarding his struggles, Gaurav says that the language and food of Visakhapatnam became the main barriers in his journey. However, he says that if you want to achieve something in your life, you have to make certain adjustments.
When asked about his mistakes, Gaurav says that if you won’t make mistakes, you won’t learn. Speaking about his own mistakes, Gaurav says that he completed his education from a Hindi-medium background and used to make mistakes while speaking English. However, he says that he has improved a lot with time and can manage his work efficiently now.
Talking about his achievements, Gaurav says that running his own yoga studio is a very big achievement. Apart from this, helping people and giving them results with his yoga tips is another accomplishment for him.
Speaking about his role models, Gaurav says that his parents and his siblings are the very first role models for him. Further, his friends who teach him and motivate him to do better, and his wife are all his role models.
When asked how he deals with mental stress, Gaurav says that doing a bit of a breathing exercise helps his body get relaxed. Also, he listens to old songs and watches movies and comedy shows while he is under stress.
