Gaurav Golchha is in the business of transportation and mining.

Gaurav was born in Chhattisgarh, and when he was three years old, he shifted to Udaipur for his studies. He did his schooling from Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School and completed his graduation from BN College, Udaipur. In 2011 he was cultural secretary in his college and was known for his Hindi poems.

Gaurav says his poetry journey started long back in 2012 when he first went to see a Kavi Sammelan where he saw that people were listening to poems with interest the whole night. From there he developed an interest in poems and started writing them. Many people supported and encouraged him in becoming a poet.

Gaurav says that it’s not always about money, but it’s about one’s satisfaction and  Hindi poems are literary works where thoughts, new ideas, and feelings are emphasized with the use of your unique style. It also gives an adventure to the mind.

According to him, poems are not just for entertainment, but it also moves a reader, physically and emotionally.

Gaurav believes that poetry brings people and cultures together as one. He says poems are like a bouquet of different emotions. It brings people of all religion, creed and castes together. Gaurav thinks money can give someone a luxurious life and external happiness, but for internal happiness and peace of mind, there’s always poetry.

Talking about the pandemic, Gaurav says he was sad to see what was going on, but on the other hand he was happy because the lockdown gave people time for themselves, and many people discovered a hidden artist inside them.

Addressing the youth of the country, Gaurav says they should always try to utilize their free time in honing their artistic skills but shall not make it a primary occupation because he thinks money is also important in life.

Talking about role models, Gaurav says just like there are several milestones on our way to a new town, there are several mentors in our life who guide us on unknown paths. One should always respect their mentors and learn from them, but never be dependent on them because change is constant in life.

He concludes by saying that always be like a seed in life, small but powerful enough to grow into a big tree. He also urges people to be positive and empathetic to everyone around them so that together, everyone can lead a happy life.
