Garvita believes that instead of having expectations from others, one should just believe in themself and their hard work to become successful in life.

Garvita Joshi is an Assistant Agriculture Officer in the Department of Agriculture, Rajasthan.

Garvita hails from Bhilwara and received her school education there itself. She did B.Sc (Hons.) in Agriculture from RCA, Udaipur. She also did an M.Sc.

Garvita shares that she had opted for the Science-Biology stream in high school as she wanted to become a doctor. However, as luck would have it, she could not become a doctor. But she never gave in and kept studying. She always wanted to have a government job and for which she worked really hard and eventually got one in the agriculture department of Rajasthan as an assistant agriculture officer.

Garvita thinks that whatever you do in life you must endeavor to acquire mastery in it.

Talking about Covid, Garvita says that the pandemic affected her a lot on the personal front. Both her father and husband were down with the disease.

To the youth, her piece of advice is to pursue entrepreneurship instead of aiming for government jobs.

To aspiring students who want to make their career in the field of agriculture, Garvita advises them to take to this field only if they are really interested in it. Besides, she says that after high school they can appear in the JET, and after passing the exam, they can take admission into BSc in Agriculture. Further, she says that they can do an MSc after BSc and then can explore avenues in the private as well as the public sector.

Garvita considers her maternal grandfather as her role model.
