With many accolades and medals to her name, Garima feels that proper training and discipline are necessary to succeed in the field of sports.

Garima Chaudhary is an acclaimed Judo player.

Garima has won many gold medals in National Games and in International Tournaments like the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and SAAF Games. She also participated in the 2010 London Olympics.

Garima is from Gurugram and plays for Haryana. Her family is a family of sports players. Her uncle is an SAI Hockey coach and her brother is an international Boxer.

Garima shares that challenges in her life have been many. Earlier she used to live in Meerut where her parents were, and started her initial training from there. However, due to a lack of facilities, she decided to move out from there and joined  NIS, Patiala at the age of fourteen. Garima further adds that when she was at the peak of her career, she got a knee injury and had to slow down her game.

When asked about her role models, Garima says that her mother has always been a pillar of support for her. She has motivated and supported her throughout her life and hence is her role model.

Talking about her mistakes, Garima says that sometimes while playing we think of something but it turns out to be a mistake due to missed execution of thoughts. Also, she thinks her injury could have been avoided if she would have been more careful.

Garima says that her success mantra in life is to never give up.

In her free time, Garima likes traveling, listening to songs, and meditating.
