Leaving behind the traditional practices of farming, Ganpat Lal adopted modern farming techniques to grow his business. He believes that life comes with challenges, and you should always fight and win.

Ganpat Lal Nagar is a farmer who belongs to Anta, Rajasthan. He was born and brought up in a farming family and started farming at a very young age.

Ganpat Lal is a state and national awardee farmer. He left behind traditional farming practices and adopted modern techniques in order to grow his business.

Talking about the challenges he faced, Ganpat Lal says that he started farming at a very young age. When he started, he used to do farming with traditional practices. However, soon after, realizing that he could not earn much from the traditional farming techniques, he decided to observe and shift to modern farming methods after getting appropriate training. Ganpat Lal says that traditional farming techniques demanded more labor to complete the work. Facing this challenge, he got a machine developed that reduced the labor requirement and helped him grow his production.

Recalling his childhood memories, Ganpat Lal says that he was an intelligent child. Watching his father work hard, he always wanted to help his father in his work. Thereafter, he learned farming on his own and started working as a farmer with his father.

When asked about his achievements, Ganpat Lal says that he won the national award in labor cost and production. Apart from the national award, he has got many other awards and cash prizes in farming, he says.

Ganpat Lal urges the young generation to understand the importance of farming and take it forward with modern scientific techniques. He further advises the young farmers to not get attracted towards the opportunities in big cities, but rather stay in villages, take training, and pursue their career in farming.
