Having struggled a lot in his life, Gafoor finally became a coach and founded his own sports academy. His aim is to provide his students with the best training possible so that they can play at both the state and national levels.

Gafoor Khan is a Football Coach, and it has been 13 years since he started working at Step By Step High School. He also has his own academy, G & R Sports Academy.

Gafoor shares that many kids who have been trained by his academy have played in the Rajasthan League, and in several state level and national level tournaments. Recently, one of their players went to play in Singapore.

Recalling his childhood, Gafoor says that he spent his childhood in Zawar Mines, as his father used to work at the Hindustan Zinc Ltd. He highlights that the MKM Football Tournament is held every year in Zawar Mines. He grew up seeing the matches in the tournament, which made him inclined towards football. He always wished to play in the tournament, which he has successfully accomplished. Eventually, he became a professional player and coach.

Gafoor completed his graduation in Arts and his Masters in Sociology. He also holds a degree in MSW (Master in Social Work). Thereafter, he completed his BPEd and D-license in football. He is currently pursuing a C-license in football.

Sharing about his struggles, Gafoor says that when he joined Step by Step School as a coach, he was just a graduate, and while working, he completed his masters and all other sports degrees.

Talking about his achievements, Gafoor says that he played seven times in the MKM Football Tournament held every year in Zawar Mines and has played at the university and state levels. He has been an A-division coach for the Rajasthan League. He is also the coach of the under-17 team in the Gujarat League. He also coaches students at the Heritage Girls School and at an NGO, Seva Mandir. He has trained the soldiers of the Indian Army to play football. He proudly shares that the teams coached by him have won many tournaments. He received the award for Best Coach in the All India Inter-FSI Championship held in Mumbai. He has been acknowledged on various platforms.

When asked about his role models, Gafoor says the former Brazilian footballer Ronaldo has inspired him a lot.

To all those who want to make their career in sports, Gafoor advises them to consistently work hard, be dedicated to their sports, and be keen to learn something new every day.
