Ekta Sainani serves as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Pacific College of Pharmacy, Udaipur.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and went on to complete her Master’s in Pharmacy from Sri Ram College.
Reflecting on her inspiration for entering the teaching profession, Ekta Sainani shares that she had always aspired to become a teacher. She believes that true educators possess strong leadership qualities—something she naturally identifies within herself. During her college years, she often found herself taking the lead in group activities, which not only nurtured her confidence but also drew the attention of her professors, who encouraged her to pursue teaching as a career.
For Sainani, teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about guiding, inspiring, and leading by example.
When asked about her role models, Ekta Sainani fondly names her parents. She admires them deeply for their relentless struggles and the unwavering support they have given her throughout her life.
Sharing her perspective on education and experience, Sainani believes that education holds greater significance. According to her, education not only imparts knowledge but also teaches individuals how to communicate and connect meaningfully with others. As she wisely puts it, “You can truly gain experience only when you are educated, because education lays the foundation for every experience in life.”
If given a time machine, Ekta Sainani would travel back in time to revisit a few of the decisions she once made. One of them would be the gap she took after completing her bachelor’s degree—something she now wishes she would have avoided.
She also shares that, given another chance, she would appear for the NEET examination right after her 12th grade. Going even further back, she reflects that she might have chosen the commerce stream instead of science, believing that different choices could have opened up new possibilities in her life.
Offering advice to the younger generation, Chemistry Professor Ekta Sainani encourages them to study sincerely and always walk the path of goodness. She believes that one should never harm others, saying, “First and foremost, focus on your studies. If you cannot do good for someone, at least don’t do anything wrong. Avoid interfering in others’ lives and concentrate on your own work.”
She lives by her favorite quote: “Nothing is impossible in life, as the word ‘Impossible’ itself says, ‘I m possible.’” These words reflect her unwavering optimism and belief in perseverance and self-confidence.
Reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic, Ekta Sainani shares that the period allowed her to spend quality time with her family while continuing to teach through online classes. She also discovered a new interest during the lockdown—learning to cook, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
In her leisure time, Ekta loves travelling and reading books, activities that help her relax and broaden her perspective on life.
