Taking to dance at the advanced age of 31, Ekta worked hard to make her mark in the field of dance. She runs her dance academy and inspires people of all ages to learn dance.

Ekta Gupta is a Dance Choreographer and trainer. She is the owner of R.Dance Paradise in Ghaziabad.

Ekta hails from Mawana, Meerut. She says she had a wonderful childhood and used to dance since she was four years old. Her father always supported her in improving her dance skills. She used to perform in programs in Mawana but never thought of making dance a profession after growing up. She wanted to become a fashion designer but her father wanted her to pursue B.Ed. Ekta agreed to marry instead of doing B.Ed.

Ekta shares that her husband was in the education field and wanted her to manage their school as principal. However, due to business loss, they had to shut the school down. Her husband started a job and was earning well. But, after some time Ekta felt she must do something of her own. She got a job in a school but she soon left it and started giving dance classes at her house.

Ekta admits that her life changed when she met her guru Sadiq Akhtar. She wanted to participate in the TV show DID moms when she was 31. She worked hard under the guidance of her guru and then never stopped, earning fame and respect in the next 10 years

Talking about her achievements, Ekta says her biggest achievement was when Dainik Jagran published her interview prominently. Later she was also awarded by Arbaz Khan, Geeta Ma, and Saroj Khan as the best dance choreographer. Her show is also aired on channel E-24.

When asked about her mistakes, Ekta says she feels she should have learned dance from her childhood. She started Choreography at the age of 31 which was quite late. Furthermore, she didn’t practice enough, which was another mistake.

Ekta’s role model is her husband who supported her at every stage of life after marriage. She was inspired by her husband’s hard-working nature. Ekta is also inspired by her guru who taught her how to hold a mic and perform on stage. Her cousin Himanshi Gupta also supported her to be strong by introducing her to The Art of Living.

Ekta believes that discipline plays a major role in our life. A person must have a routine to be successful in life.

Ekta advises people to learn the yoga practice taught by the Art of Living and encourages them to practice it daily to avoid stress and to build confidence.

Apart from dance, she is also interested in cooking.
