Dwishojoyee hails from Bihar. She is a social activist. Currently, she is in high school.
Dwishojoyee shares that her parents are also social activists and they have an organization that works for children’s education. Since the age of ten, she has been working as a social activist and has worked for raising awareness about human and children's rights and menstruation. Besides, she also works for the UN.
Dwishojoyee says that in Bihar, though there has been some development, there’s still a lot of underdevelopment. She says Bihar is not underdeveloped in terms of infrastructure but in terms of the mentality of its people. There are still ills like rape, dowry, child marriage, etc. present there. She says that she is studying Economics to contribute her bit to make the economy of Bihar grow.
Talking about her role models, Dwishojoyee says that she gets immensely inspired by her parents and the work that they do. Besides, she says that her parents are very open and hold dinner conversations on different topics from economics to human rights which impart to her a broader understanding of things.
Dwishojoyee thinks that had she started working in the social sector early on, she would have made more of an impact on society. She advises youngsters not to wait for the right time to come and never think about whether their idea will work or not. She says that even if you can impact the lives of a few people and make a small impact just do it.
Dwishojoyee advises people to be wary of what they post and support on social media and not just do it following the herd. Besides, she advises youngsters not to be under the pressure to post about their lives on social media.
Dwishojoyee says that there’s very less representation of women in the field of economics. She aspires to be an economist in future by studying the subject during her further studies.
