Dushyant Dhaka is an ambitious professional who is dedicatedly working towards becoming a Civil Services Officer. He was inspired to choose law by the historical figures of the past who had one thing in common - a Law degree.

Dushyant is a Law Officer at the Bank of India, Mumbai South Zone branch. He is devoted to his day-to-day activities of managing all the legal work of the bank associated with court proceedings and balancing the assets and liabilities of the bank. He says he has to send reports to the head office daily.

Dushyant did his schooling from the Birla School in Pilani. Then, he completed his five-year Law studies from the College of Law, Udaipur University. He also did a Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from the Indian Institute of Law, New Delhi. Then, he cleared the Law Officer exams and got appointed for the job in August 2020. He joined in September 2020 and has been working on the post since then. Dushyant says he is experiencing a new work culture and improving himself to be able to handle  the bank’s legal responsibilities in a better way.

Dushyant feels that one should have discipline, dedication, a true spirit, and give their hundred percent in order to achieve their personal goals. Dushyant shares that after completing his intermediate studies, he was confused about his career choices. Dushyant finally chose Law, as, during his school days, on national festivals, he would see highly positioned Civil Officers hoisting the national flag. Those moments gave him the dream to become a Civil Service Officer and have the authority to hoist the Indian National Flag and inspire other kids. Furthermore, he was always inclined to work in a practical career. Therefore, to become a Civil Service Officer, he completed Law and started working as a Law Officer.

Dushyant believes that struggles are the gaps between our goals and our journey. Distractions, excessive expectations from college, and the influence of social media on our thoughts are some of the struggles faced during college life. However, consistency, hard work, and discipline are the keys to success in his opinion.

Dushyant is aware of the excessive competition and unemployment in the market. Therefore, he suggests all the youngsters to plan their careers accordingly and always have a backup plan in their life.

Dushyant believes that Leadership develops with experiences in life. He also feels that one learns to be a leader at all stages of his life and from other leaders around him.

Talking about Education and Experience, he says that both are incomplete without each other. He advises everyone to complete their education up to the stage of specialisation and start working simultaneously to gain experience and a work profile. This will help them to know the tricks of the trade before stepping out as a professional.

If Dushyant gets to time travel, he will go back to the past and advise his younger self to worry less and work hard in the chosen field.

He advises everyone to utilise their free time working in their chosen field. For example, reading newspapers for building knowledge and awareness of the city and state we live in is a simple leisure activity that yields benefits.

Dushyant feels that a balanced schedule for the entire day is a must. Also, we should listen to or watch stories that inspire us in our lives.
