Durgesh wanted to become a fashion designer, which he could not become. Yet he followed his passion for art and became a Tattoo Artist.

Durgesh Mukati is a Tattoo Artist. He has been running his own tattoo studio in Indore since 2011. He is famous for cover ups and customized tattoos.

Durgesh was born in Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. He did his schooling from there itself. Since childhood, he was interested in the field of arts. In 2007, he did a course in Fashion Designing.

Durgesh says that the fashion designing setup required good capital investment, which he did not have. As he could not do much in that field due to financial constraints, he plunged into the field of tattooing. For that, he did a basic course from Mumbai and then went to Goa and did a full-time tattooing course. After working for a year as a freelance tattoo artist, he set up his own studio in Indore.

Durgesh says that during the COVID pandemic, when all the businesses were closed, then he too closed his studio and went to his village till the lockdown was lifted. After coming back, he was burdened with financial obligations. His studio was closed for a long time but rent was due and it became quite challenging for him to clear all dues. On a personal front, he was severely infected with the disease with major lung infection but he battled the disease and recovered from it.

In his spare time, Durgesh enjoys traveling, meeting new people and getting to know things related to his field and upgrading himself. Sometimes, he also likes to watch movies and web series on OTT platforms.

Durgesh opines that basic education is a must for everyone as it gives a direction to think in a right way. At the same time, experience plays a vital role in everyone’s life because whatever it gives you, it is definitely useful for times to come. He says that only with experience, you can move ahead in life.

Durgesh advises youngsters that whatever profession you choose for yourself, pay attention to their parallel professions as well. So that if nothing happens in your chosen field, you will always have other options open to you.
