Durgadas BR is a mechanical engineer, author, and UPSC aspirant.
Durgadas was born in Kollam, Kerala. He did his schooling till 10th standard from Our Lady of Lourdes Convent School and S.N. Central School. After 10th, he studied in SVHHS Government Higher Secondary School.
Durgadas then did Mechanical Engineering from Vidya Academy of Science and Technology. Then he prepared for the CAT examination from TIME institute and did MBA in Marketing and Operations Management from Amrita School of Business.
Durgadas then worked in WIPRO as a sales officer in Telangana and even wrote a book titled, ‘Ishana’. Soon, he realized that it was not something he wanted to do in his life and hence resigned from his job to prepare for the UPSC examination and joined Fortune IAS Academy.
Durgadas says that the movie ‘3 Idiots’ inspired him a lot to pursue engineering.
From his childhood itself, his mother used to say that he should try for UPSC one day. He also, in his job, realized that his leadership skills are not for marketing but society and he should pursue a different field.
Durgadas feels that his teachers and friends always motivate him and that is the reason he could do different things in life. He also says that self-motivation is the best form of motivation.
Durgadas opines that if the youth want success in life, they should determine what makes them happy and work for that. They should also stay away from distractions like social media and the internet and work for their aim.
