Dr. Yashpal Rajpurohit has been running his physiotherapy clinic since 2010. He is also the Joint Secretary of the Global Association of Physiotherapy from the West Zone. He has joined some social groups too, and conducts workshops, seminars, and camps in villages and semi-urban areas to create awareness about physiotherapy.
Yashpal hails from Rajsamand. He was born and brought up in Mali village of Rajsamand district in Rajasthan. Due to his poor financial condition, he had to study in a government school.
Recalling his childhood memories, Yashpal says he wanted to become a doctor. He remembers his childhood friends and misses the games that he played.
Yashpal came to know about physiotherapy from his relatives. To fulfill his dreams, he consulted many doctors and then decided to enter this field. With the support of his elder brother and some of his other relatives, he went to Bangalore and pursued BPT and MPT in Physiotherapy.
Sharing about his struggles, Yashpal says that doing his course in English was extremely difficult for him as he was from a Hindi medium school. Also, he faced problems in communication and food habits in Bangalore.
Financial constraint was the biggest challenge for Yashpal. He had to save every penny for his further studies. He preferred walking, while his friends used to go by bus. He never attended any parties.
Yashpal worked hard at every step and achieved top positions in his college studies. He thanks God for this success.
After his studies, when he returned to Rajsamand, he started his clinic. He says he finds pleasure in his patients’ satisfaction.
Talking about his role models, Yashpal says his mother and his elder brother are the persons in his life from whom he learned how to love his work and manage all the things in life. He considers his wife also as his role model. In professional life, Dr. Uma Shankar Mohanty, is his role model with whom he worked and gained experience, says Yashpal.
Sharing his Covid experiences, Yashpal says he stayed with his family. He started online consultations for the patients to treat them.
Yashpal’s hobbies are watching movies, spending time with family, cycling, and playing outdoor games. He likes to connect with his friends. He also thinks about the development of his clinic and the welfare of his patients in his free time.
For medical aspirants, Yashpal suggests joining physiotherapy as it treats patients without medicine. It improves the quality of life of the people.
For one and all, Yashpal says where there is satisfaction there is success. Whatever work you are doing, do it lovingly. Success will definitely come and you will be satisfied. Work with a good aim then success is certain, says Yashpal.
