Since a little child, Hitesh has worked arduously to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a doctor. He takes his work seriously and tries to provide the finest care possible for his patients.

Dr. Hitesh Yadav is a Cardiologist specialising in complex cardiac surgeries at GBH American Hospital, Udaipur.

Hitesh deals with all kinds of cardiac emergencies. Since primary school, being a doctor has been his only dream. He has many fond memories from his childhood. From a tender age, he was motivated by teachers and parents to become a doctor. He believes that being a doctor is a noble profession that saves lives and, in turn, plays a major role in the service of mankind.

Born in Alwar, Hitesh completed his school education in Udaipur. In order to fulfil his dream, he sat for the medical examination and got selected for an MBBS at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. After completing MBBS, he went on to pursue an MD at Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner. He completed his Ph.D. and started practicing at Trivandrum Medical College.

Hitesh shares that the pandemic was one of the biggest professional obstacles and challenges for doctors. Cardiac patients who also had COVID-19 and were in a critical state arrived during this time, and it was a daunting challenge as well as a responsibility for him. The doctors and surgeons had used their judgement against an unbeatable disease. Some results were positive, whereas a few patients sadly could not make it. He made sure to stay isolated from his family to prevent the spread of this deadly virus. A few patients could not be saved because of their late admission. Lack of awareness was a key issue during the pandemic, as many ignored the initial symptoms. Pressure on doctors by family members of the patients during emergencies was also a nerve-wracking situation to be in. The pandemic made everyone realise the importance of health and exercise.

When asked about his role models, Hitesh says that his teachers in college were his role models, as he learned about medical sciences and gained insight from their invaluable experience as doctors. His motivation is his family, which has always supported his dreams.

Hitesh feels that both education and experience are important in the medical profession. Experience teaches more information about the medical sciences as they are ever-developing.

According to him, the medical profession is a noble profession to be in, and he welcomes new doctors to embrace the profession. The course duration for medical studies is long, and sound medical knowledge is of utmost importance in this profession. The examination of patients should be done thoroughly so as to provide the correct diagnosis. One is required to gain as much experience as possible in the practise period under an experienced doctor. He says that people’s lives are at stake, and hence one must take this profession very seriously.

In his spare time, Hitesh enjoys outings with his family and playing with his children. He engages in physical exercise at home or outdoors. Hitesh advises that one must keep calm and stay healthy in order to live a fruitful life.
