Despite facing challenges, Vidya pursued her passion, completing her graduation and is now pursuing post-graduation. She underscores the importance of Ayurveda in modern lifestyle, and also promotes yoga and healthy habits.

Dr. Vidya Chaudhary is a Postgraduate Scholar in the ‘Rachna Sharir Vibhag’ at the Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Udaipur.

Born in a small village in the Pali district, she attended a government school in her village until the 10th grade. Her education was challenging as she had to assist her mother with household chores while simultaneously tending to farm buffaloes along with her studies. Despite limited preparations, she managed to pass her 10th standard.

She recounts moving to Jodhpur with her father due to his work, where she continued her education and excelled in her studies, ultimately passing her 12th standard. Aspiring to become a doctor, she began preparing for the PMT.

As she could not clear PMT in her initial attempt, her father suggested pursuing a BA to prepare for administrative services. However, she skipped the form submission and focused on medical entrance exam preparation, gaining admission to the Ayurveda College in Udaipur. Attending a seminar on herbal cosmetics fueled her interest further in the field of Ayurveda. She expresses admiration for the college principal, Prof. Mahesh Dixit for his constant guidance and support.

Reflecting on her role models, Vidya expresses deep gratitude towards her mother, who worked tirelessly to support her and her siblings' education. Despite being uneducated initially, her mother learned to read English and now manages the household budget and her father’s salary accounts.

Discussing her struggles, Vidya shares that she got married in 2020. She was facing financial challenges as her husband was pursuing RAS and other government exams but could not clear the last stage. She took a job at a hospital. Seeking a meaningful pursuit, she decided to pursue a postgraduate degree, successfully clearing the entrance exam and securing admission to the Rachna Sharir Vibhag of Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Udaipur.

Vidya underscores the increasing relevance of Ayurveda due to fast-paced and sedentary lifestyles. Encouraging having a healthy diet, she recommends incorporating easily digestible millets like bajra and jowar, rich in nutrients and fiber in our diets. She emphasizes the limitations of allopathic medicines and advocates for integrating yoga and healthy eating habits.

Addressing the youth, she advises taking risks and pursuing one's aspirations before the age of 30, as family responsibilities and societal pressures often increase thereafter.
