Dr. Vidhya Samad Barfa is currently serving as Head of the Department of Information Technology at Medicaps University, Indore.

She is primarily involved in teaching undergraduate students in IT, overseeing their academic and professional growth, and guiding them to build strong technical and ethical foundations. Alongside teaching, she actively participates in research activities, curriculum planning, and various academic initiatives.

HoD Dr. Barfa describes that the field of Information Technology is constantly evolving with advancements in technology. Her role involves not only teaching but also equipping students with industry-oriented skills, encouraging innovation, promoting research activities, and preparing them for future challenges. Her main focus is to make students technically competent while also preparing them to be responsible and society-ready individuals.

Recalling what led her to teaching, Dr. Barfa shares that she had always been passionate about teaching and learning. Dr. Vidhya Samad Barfa spent her childhood in Indore, where she also completed her entire education. She graduated from IET-DAVV with a B.Tech degree, then qualified GATE and NET, after which she completed her M.Tech and eventually earned her PhD from the same institution.

Reflecting on her childhood, Dr. Barfa shares that she learned the values of simplicity, hard work, and dedication from her early life experiences. She believes that living a disciplined life and working with commitment are crucial for success.

She considers her parents as her role models. From them, she learned the importance of dedication, patience, and responsibility. She emphasizes that to achieve success, one must not only work hard but also understand and manage responsibilities effectively.

Dr. Barfa is inspired by the quote by Nelson Mandela:

She shares that this quote motivates her greatly and resonates with her belief in the transformative power of education.
