After a decade’s gap, Vibha started her career again and achieved all the degrees relevant to becoming a successful teacher. She feels that it is never too late to start again.

Dr. Vibha Devpura is a Science lecturer at Vidya Bhawan G.S. Teachers’ College.

She was born in Nathdwara and currently resides in Udaipur.

Vibha vividly remembers her childhood and shares that she was always afraid of exams, especially the subject of Physics. However, she worked hard and still managed to score the highest in her 12th standard. Further adding to the memories, Vibha shares that she couldn’t appear for her medical exam owing to bad health. She feels that had she given herself a second chance, she would have been a doctor today.

Vibha completed her Bachelors and Masters in Science. Thereafter, she enrolled herself in a computer course, after which her education came to a standstill. Vibha got married and had her own family responsibilities to fulfill, besides raising her children. However, after a gap of ten years, Vibha started her journey again and pursued her B.Ed and M.Ed, followed by a PhD.

Talking about the pandemic, Vibha says that COVID introduced her to the power of technology and taking online classes, which was not much known to her earlier. She also learnt time management skills while taking classes from home. On the other hand, Vibha felt that the physical and mental health of the elderly and children were affected due to the pandemic.

Vibha advises the youth to always keep a positive attitude in life and not expect quick results. She adds that there is no shortcut to success and the younger generation should be patient enough to reach their final destination. Vibha suggests they be self-motivated and not get bogged down due to unfavorable circumstances.
