Trushit’s zeal to learn music provided him an opportunity to build a career out of it. He has researched the science of music well and has performed at many concerts worldwide.

Dr. Trushit Vaishnav is an Indian classical vocalist.

Hailing from Vadodara, Gujarat, Trushit always wanted to learn music. His parents also wanted their children to learn art. He used to visit a nearby class to learn music. It further developed his interest in music. Later, he did ‘Visharad’, ‘Alankar’, and ‘Sangeet Praveen’ along with his Master's Degree in Physics.

Initially, he took his music education from Pandit Narayan Rao Patwanand and Sri Gaurangbhai Trivedi. Later, he also learned from Rajan and Sajan Mishra at a gurukul in Dehradun.

Talking about his challenges, Trushit says that it was not easy for him to pursue music as a career without having a musical family background. The major challenge was to manage music practice and studies within the 24 hours of a day. However, he achieved good results in both. He did a PhD on developing the relationship between music and physics. His research on the topic was published in a book.

Trushit says mistakes are natural, as everyone makes them, but accepting them and learning from them is important. It helps us to improve.

Sharing his achievements, Trushit says he started the concept of online teaching in the year 2000, which turned out to be a great success. He also got the opportunity to research the relationship between science and music, which is very rare in India.

When asked about his role models, Trushit says his parents are his role models, as they have always supported him and motivated him to do better. Furthermore, he also took inspiration from his gurus.

Trushit believes that music brings him mental peace, and he feels his stress go away when singing or listening to music. Music is a meditation for him.

Advising the younger generation, Trushit says that discipline and honesty are vital for an individual in order to achieve success. In order to learn music, it is essential to learn the basics, and practice also plays an important role in this field of art. He believes classical music is the foundation for learning any kind of music.
