Swati Devpura completed her Physiotherapy Course with a specialization in M.P.T. (Orthopaedics) from Indore Medical College. She has also done a Diploma in Dietetics from Indore itself and is a Nutritionist Consultant. Swati has three fitness centers in Udaipur under the name JK Medical Gym and has four hospitals conducting physiotherapy OPDs and treating Neuro Stroke patients.
Born in Chennai and brought up in Udaipur, Swati completed her schooling from different cities of Rajasthan since her father was in a transferable job. Then she moved to Kota after 10th standard to study further. Thereafter, she carried forward her career in the medical field from Indore. Swati’s entire family belongs to the medical line and hence her interest in pursuing medicine aligned automatically.
Talking about her childhood, Swati says she grew up seeing her father working hard day and night as a Veterinary doctor and took inspiration from him. Being a Physiotherapist, her parents wanted her to continue working in a hospital or open her own clinic, but Swati wanted to work on multiple approaches and do something different. She then thought of preparing diet chats not just for her patients, but people in general who are fitness freaks. Swati joined a gym and made available healthy diet chats focused on weight loss, weight gain, body shaping, in which her husband has been a constant support.
Swati says that having a fitness center of her own is an achievement for her which she could accomplish with hard work and a mutual understanding with her husband who felt the need to have a medical gym catering to the people’s needs. Swati adds that a proper diet along with a set of exercises is a must to treat ailments. She says that her remedies and diet plan cater to the long run and does not claim any short term benefits.
Sharing about her COVID days, Swati shares that the gyms were shut but physiotherapy clinics were open since some patients required daily sessions and their treatment could not have stopped. She treated her patients following all COVID protocols and allocating them different slots. Swati started an immunity booster diet package during the pandemic covering major ingredients like ginger and garlic. On the personal front, Swati spent a good time with her family.
Swati’s Success Mantra is based on her husband’s guidance and she gives him all the credit for whatever she has become today. She says that her husband taught him to convert her time into valuable things by utilizing her education in the best possible manner.
Swati says that fitness is everywhere with the Prime Minister himself and the celebrities too advocating for it from time to time. For those who wish to join the fitness industry, Swati suggests that one should complete their education first and then take up fitness courses. She adds that one should have full knowledge of the field to ensure justice to the clients.
In her leisure time, Swati likes to be with her family members. She loves to be a workaholic and likes to devote all her time to work. Swati suggests everyone to indulge in workouts daily, be it any age group, and not wait to invite obesity or any body issues. She adds that our body has different needs like cardio exercises for children, body ripping and physique development for the youth, and exercises for maintaining joint strength for the adult category.
