Dr Prashant Shetty is a sincere and simple man having clear ideas and principles in his life. He is a professor in the Dental Sciences department and likes to help students and humanity through his works.

Dr Prashant works as a professor in the Pacific Dental College in Udaipur. He teaches  Conservatory Periodontics to undergraduate and post-graduate students. He says he likes the working environment in the college very much.

Dr Prashant was born in Karnataka and completed his secondary and senior secondary schooling there. Then, he moved to Dharwad to pursue BDS and MDS from SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital.

Dr Prashant loves to engage in social work. He utilised his time during the corona lockdowns to write a book named ‘Lockdown Health’. In his book, Dr Prashant talks about yoga, meditation, abdominal health, and food habits.

During the Covid period, his pros were the quality family time and the facility of giving online lessons. However, the cons were getting stuck indoors.

Dr Prashant gains inspiration and motivation from his mother and his wife. He feels supported, accepted, and empowered with the presence of these two women in his life. Thus, both are his role models.

Dr Prashant’s favourite quote is “To succeed in your mission, you must have a single-minded devotion to your work”, by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Dr Prashant likes to play badminton and chess when free.
