Dr Samiksha is a Dentist who provides oral health care services. She believes that the dental industry is an emerging field for having innovative technologies and hence having a greater scope in the near future.

Dr. Samiksha Sharma originally hails from Jammu. She considers Himachal Pradesh as her second home state because she lived there for eight years to complete her education.

Dr. Samiksha has completed her BDS from Himachal Dental College and currently, she is pursuing P.G. in Periodontology and Oral Implantology from the same institute. She is a member of the Indian Dental Association, Indian Society of Periodontology and some trusts in Jammu as well. She has also started giving online consultation through emails, telephone and various health care platforms.

Dr. Samiksha says, as a child she was always enthralled by the school assemblies. She remembers when she was given a chance to enact in a skit on doctors day and that incident had a life altering impact on her as since then she felt an attraction and fondness towards this profession and slowly it became an undying dream for her. She considers herself to be fortunate for this entire journey, first as a medical aspirant and now as a seasoned professional.

Dr. Samiksha is proud that during the turbulent times of Covid, when the whole world was in a big fix, the medical fraternity all over the globe was trying to cope up with the virus. As a dental professional, they took care of the oral hygiene of people and continuously treated them knowing that mouth area is the most potential transmissible area of infection. So while working they were stressed and having anxiety issues but still they tried to do their best to provide successful treatments to patients with proper precautions and measures.

Dr. Samiksha considers her mother to be her biggest role model because of shaping Dr. Samiksha’s life to the best and for always giving her the best advice that helps her in making big decisions in life. She says that her mother has made many sacrifices for the family for which she is grateful and she wants to inculcate and imbibe the principles and moral values that she learnt from her mother. In her professional life, her teachers, mentors, guides and professors are her role models for helping her. She considers Dr. Vikas Jindal to be a ‘Titan of her professional journey’ for being a great source of inspiration.

The one advice that Dr. Samiksha wants to give to new professionals that work hard, do well and keep a one track mind as this journey is a very long process but in the end it will be worth looking forward to. So you are expected to put your heart, mind and soul in this journey.

Dr. Samiksha believes that leadership is something that you learn and acquire in your lifetime with great resilience and tenacity. She says when you start working at the forefront, not shying away from shouldering your responsibilities, it is only then you become a good leader and lead by setting an example.

Dr. Samiksha feels nostalgic about her childhood memories and remembers the time when she used to spend time with her grandparents and went for a walk with them. She was also fond of elders in her neighbourhood and used to go out with them.

Although Dr. Samiksha loves her profession but, if she could ever get a chance to go back in time, she would go back to the time when she dreamt of becoming an RJ or VJ and proceed further towards becoming any one of those.

Dr. Samiksha believes that education is the microcosm of life but education and experience are incomplete without one another because from education we learn our lessons but experience is a practical application of our knowledge. So she believes that we need to have a proper balance of both of them.

After college, Dr. Samiksha likes to go out for a ride with her friends. She loves listening to music and going on long rides.
