An academician and dentist, Dr Saba Khan is working strenuously to carve her own identity in the field of Dentistry.

Dr Saba Khan is teaching at Darshan Dental College, Udaipur. She is a dentist and an academician by profession.

Born and brought up in Delhi, Saba completed her school education in different parts of the city.

Saba says that she was a studious kid from the beginning itself. Her mother was a teacher and she played an important role in inclining her toward studies. After her schooling, she wanted to join the medical field and for that, she appeared in various entrance examinations. She did her BDS and post graduation in Karnataka.

Saba shares that Dentistry chose her and it was not the other way. And, staying away from her home to do her further education in Karnataka gave her a different exposure and a new set of friends and all of them collectively developed her into a wholesome individual.

She acknowledges the support that she received from her guide and professors during her masters. And she is trying her best to pass down whatever she learnt from them to her students at the college she teaches at.

Saba considers her mother as her role model. She says that her mother is a teacher from whom she learnt to be an ideal academician. Besides, she says that her mother and her guide have played a crucial role in developing her personality.

To aspiring students of Dentistry, she advises that pursue Dentistry only if you’re interested in it. And once you’re into it, give your one hundred percent to it. Because your hard work, dedication and perseverance combined together will surely help you achieve your goals.

In her free time, she likes to read books. She also likes to do gardening - a hobby that she has recently developed.

She says ups and downs are there in everybody’s life, so taking help from your loved ones and remaining calm in tough times really helps. She advises, just have faith in yourself and everything will fall in place.
