With a total of 21 years of teaching experience, Professor Rinku Verma has dedicated 16 years to Medicaps University and previously served for 5 years at the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Bhopal. Her professional path reflects consistency, commitment, and a deep passion for mathematics education.

As Head of the mathematics Department, her primary responsibility extends beyond administrative leadership. Professor Rinku Verma focuses on motivating and mentoring her faculty members so that they can achieve their highest potential. She believes that empowered teachers create empowered students.

One of her core missions is to help students overcome mathematics phobia. She understands that many students begin to fear mathematics when concepts become complex. Drawing from her own personal experience, she empathizes deeply with students who struggle with the subject.

During her eighth standard, mathematics appeared simple and approachable. However, in ninth grade, as the subject became more complex, she experienced anxiety and self-doubt. Instead of giving up, Professor Rinku Verma adopted a disciplined approach—she began reading her textbooks thoroughly, understanding every word, and continuously reflecting on the logic behind each concept.

At a time when internet resources were not readily available, she relied entirely on deep reading and consistent practice. This habit of careful study strengthened her logical thinking and gradually eliminated her fear of mathematics.

Through continuous effort and disciplined learning, she transformed her initial struggle into strength. That phase of perseverance ultimately led her to become the Head of the Department of Mathematics. Her experience now allows her to identify the “bumpy roads” students face and guide them through difficult concepts with clarity and patience.

Born and brought up in Bhopal, famously known as the City of Lakes, Professor Rinku Verma completed her schooling at Dr. Radhakrishnan Girls Higher Secondary School, Bhopal. She pursued her higher education entirely at Barkatullah University, where she completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Mathematics. Her strong academic foundation laid the groundwork for a long and impactful teaching career.

Her professional achievements further reflect her dedication to excellence. She qualified the MP SET examination in 2018 and cleared the written examination for MPPSC Assistant Professor twice. She received the Best Paper Presentation Award at an international conference and was honored with the Srijan Award in the teaching fraternity. Additionally, she has been recognized with the Best Faculty Award by Medicaps University.

Professor Rinku Verma was also selected by AICTE for the translation of a Discrete Mathematics book into Hindi, contributing significantly to making technical education more accessible.
