Dr. Ratan Lal Suthar is working as a lecturer at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute, Udaipur.
Ratan hails from Mohangarh village in Jaisalmer. He did his schooling from his village itself. After that, he came to Udaipur for completing his graduation and post-graduation. Then he did his M.Phil., B.Ed., and Ph.D. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur.
Ratan then got a job at J.R. Sharma PG College, Jhadol. After working there for three years, he got a job at Vidya Bhawan and came to Udaipur.
Talking about his role models, Ratan says that his science teacher in school, Ramlal Ji motivated and inspired him a lot. He had a friendly and cordial attitude toward his students which inspired Ratan. Ratan also thought about leaving his studies midway, however, it was Ramlal who persuaded him to continue his studies.
Sharing his experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ratan says that before the lockdown took place, he had already sent his kids to his village and he was alone in Udaipur. He had to face many difficulties like his phone and television broke down and he was almost cut off from outside news and information for a long time.
Advising the next generation, Ratan says that the youth should work with full dedication and punctuality in their lives.
In his free time, Ratan likes to play with his kids in the garden. He also likes playing and watching cricket.
