An ENT Specialist, Entrepreneur, and Motivational Speaker, Dr. Ramya Nalli believes that everyone is equally capable of doing things provided they have self-confidence and a positive attitude towards life.

Dr. Ramya is an Otorhinolaryngologist and Head and Neck surgeon based in Visakhapatnam. Besides, she is also an Author, Motivational Speaker, and the Founder of RAMICOS Cosmetics.

Ramya hails from Visakhapatnam. She completed her MBBS and then she did her PG from JIPMER, Pondicherry.

Ramya shares that she was not a good student initially and she always feared Mathematics. Hence she opted for the Science-Biology stream in high school to become a doctor as both her parents were also doctors.

After completing her MBBS, Ramya was fortunate enough to get admission to a PG course at JIPMER which is one of the best medical institutes in the country. She came back to her hometown - Visakhapatnam when she had completed her PG.

Ramya shares that she always wanted to write a book. She says that in her school days she was introduced to English literature which made her interested in writing. After completing her PG, she started writing her first book, and in the span of eight months, she was able to write her debut book titled, "THE BROKEN PENDANT.”  She received the Indian Prime Award and Best Author in Magic Book of Records Award for her book.

Being an ENT specialist, during the Covid pandemic, Ramya counseled people who feared catching the virus when they just developed symptoms of common cold. She tried to make them feel positive and advised them not to panic. From helping her patients, she also became a motivational speaker. She worked with some international forums in the UK and Brazil and delivered inspirational talks there. Later, she also started working for women's empowerment.

Ramya says that she used to face skin problems and owing to that she would be low on self-esteem. But, when she realized that many other women were also facing the same, she came up with the idea of starting her own cosmetics brand, and thus RAMICOS Cosmetics was born. And this marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey.

Ramya thinks that more than any formal education, it’s the education to deal with the challenges of life that matters more. She says mental education should be emphasized as it helps in remaining stable during ups and downs in life.

Ramya believes that if one is positive in life and has faith in themself they can do anything and everything and then a leader emerges from them. Therefore, she advises people to always exude a positive attitude.

Even if she could go back in time, Ramya would not want to change anything in her past as she thinks that changing anything in her past will inevitably change what she is today. However, she would want to relive her MBBS days which she enjoyed a lot.

Her Success Mantra is “Never to depend on anyone and always to be her own guiding light.”

Ramya thinks that every child is different and therefore she advises parents not to judge their kids’ abilities based on how they perform in their studies. She says that she was not good at studies but with a systematic approach and hard work she was able to get into one of the best medical colleges in the country and she believes if she could do it so can everyone.

To youngsters, Ramya advises them to just do whatever they want to do without caring about what others have to say. Besides, she encourages them to become entrepreneurs as the future will be of them.
