Dr. Rajesh Khoiwal is a Consultant Neurologist at PIMS (Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences) Hospital, Umrada, Udaipur. He proudly shares that at PIMS, they provide advanced neurological services at very reasonable prices, addressing issues such as strokes, epilepsy, seizures, headaches, memory loss, back pain, cervical pain, and more.

Dr. Rajesh's motivation to become a doctor was deeply personal. He recalls that when he was in class 10th, his father, a well-educated man with a government job, frequently fell ill. As a child, Rajesh did not understand the severity of his father's condition. One day, his father became severely ill and was admitted to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, where he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. This experience left a lasting impact on young Rajesh, instilling in him the determination to become a doctor to prevent others from facing similar situations.

Overcoming challenges has been a hallmark of Dr. Khoiwal's journey. When he entered medical college, the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) was considered one of the toughest exams in India and the world. However, he cleared the Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) in just one attempt. During that time, becoming a doctor was a preferred career choice over other professions like lecturers, teachers, or civil servants.

Dr. Rajesh Khoiwal's most significant achievement was clearing the Neurology test, a pivotal moment in his life. He had already married and had a child when he took admission in Neurology. Despite the added family responsibilities, he moved to Gurgaon with his family, continued his studies, and successfully completed his three-year neurology program.

Hailing from Bhilwara, known as the textile city of Rajasthan, Dr. Rajesh completed his primary education at a private school in Bhilwara and later attended a government school, where he completed his class 12th. After high school, he began preparing for the Pre-Medical Test (PMT), which he cleared in his first attempt, securing a place at Dr. Sampurnanand Medical College (SNMC) in Jodhpur. Reflecting on his college days, he fondly recalls the wonderful time spent with friends, balancing both enjoyment and studies.

When asked about his role models, Dr. Khoiwal credits his father as the primary inspiration for his career choice. His father's resilience and the family's experience with his illness played a significant role in shaping Dr. Khoiwal's path.

Music has always been a source of joy and motivation for Dr. Khoiwal. He particularly enjoys old songs, with his favourite being "Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali" from the movie "Maine Pyar Kiya." Additionally, the Ram bhajan "Jaise Suraj Ki Garmi Se Jalte Hue Tan Ko" has been a constant source of inspiration for him since his school days.

To aspiring neurologists, Dr. Khoiwal advises having a clear vision from the very beginning. He emphasises the importance of focusing on neurology immediately after completing the MBBS degree to prepare for the subsequent exams required to become a neurologist.

In his message to the world, Dr. Khoiwal expresses concern about the rapidly growing population and its impact on health. He believes that as the population increases, so do the risks associated with pollution, like deforestation and plastic use. He encourages the youth to exercise their right to vote when eligible, as it is a crucial aspect of civic responsibility.

Dr. Khoiwal's approach to healthcare is rooted in compassion and empathy. He recognizes that patients come from diverse backgrounds, including the rich, poor, and middle class. He believes that those who are poor and genuinely in need should be assisted with their medical treatment, regardless of their financial status.
