Chemistry HoD Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma has 13 research publications, five patents, and a Best Faculty Award to his credit. He promotes Chemistry as a field rich with opportunities in industry, research, and academia, driven by innovation and service to society.

Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Medicaps University, Indore, since 2019.

From December 2025, he has also been holding the responsibility of Head of the Department. With a strong academic background and a passion for teaching and research, he has consistently contributed to the academic and research growth of the department.

Under his leadership, the Department of Chemistry provides strong theoretical and practical foundations in chemistry along with advanced chemical analysis techniques. The department offers research facilities to B.Tech, M.Sc., and Ph.D. scholars, encouraging innovation and the invention of new materials while ensuring quality assurance of substances through modern analytical methods.

Dr. Sharma has published 13 research papers and holds five patents to his credit. He has also been honored with the Best Faculty Award at Medicaps University in recognition of his academic excellence and dedication.

Dr. Rajendra Sharma completed his schooling up to the 12th standard from Khanpur, District Jhalawar, Rajasthan. He earned his graduation degree from Government College, Baran, affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. He then pursued his Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. To enhance his teaching methodologies and pedagogical skills, he completed his B.Ed. from M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He was awarded his Ph.D. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Additionally, he qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship conducted by CSIR-UGC, New Delhi.

His inclination to join the field of Chemistry was inspired by his teachers and friends and strongly supported by his parents, who remain his greatest role models. He believes that education is the passport to a bright future, as it has the power to guide individuals in the right direction and shape their lives meaningfully.

HodChemistry Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma advises students to pursue Chemistry at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, as the field offers vast career opportunities in pharmaceutical industries, manufacturing units, defense production, fertilizers, chemicals, paints, and other industrial sectors under QA, QC, and production units.
