Dr. Rajeev Saxena is a Distinguished Engineer, Insurance Professional, Social Worker, and Dedicated Rotarian whose life path reflects perseverance, patriotism, and an unwavering commitment to community service.

Originally from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, and now based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, he has spent decades contributing to society through professional excellence, continuous learning, and humanitarian initiatives.

After completing his B.Tech from Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Saxena began his professional career with Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL), where he served with dedication for 33 years and eventually retired as an Executive Engineer. Throughout his career in the power sector, he played an important role in strengthening electricity infrastructure and ensuring efficient operations. His commitment to professional growth remained constant, and during his service years, he also completed his MBA from Jaipur National University. Later, driven by his passion for learning, he earned a Ph.D. in Management after retirement.

Retirement, however, did not mark the end of his professional growth . Instead, it opened the door to a new chapter in his life in the insurance industry. Having gained exposure to insurance and risk management during his years in the power sector, Dr. Rajeev Saxena joined Prudent Insurance Brokers Private Limited, where he currently serves as Vice President. In this role, he manages insurance portfolios for major organizations and industries, helping businesses protect themselves from operational and manufacturing related losses. He works closely with prestigious clients, including the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., and oversees their insurance requirements with expertise and professionalism.

While his professional achievements are impressive, Dr. Saxena believes that true success lies in serving society. For the last ten years, he has been actively associated with the Rotary Club of Jaipur Bapu Nagar and has contributed to numerous community development projects of the club. One of the most significant initiatives he has been involved in is large-scale tree plantation drives across Jaipur and surrounding areas. Together with fellow Rotarians, he has helped plant numerous trees, contributing to environmental sustainability and creating a greener future.

Another impactful project focused on constructing toilets, particularly for girl students, and providing safe drinking water facilities in rural schools. Earlier, many girls hesitated to attend school regularly due to the lack of proper sanitation and clean drinking water. After the successful implementation of these projects, Rotary members observed a noticeable increase in girls' attendance. This positive change reinforced Dr. Saxena's belief that community development begins by addressing basic human needs and creating opportunities for education.

His introduction to Rotary came through the late Dr. S.K. Calla, who shared the vision and mission of the organization with him. Inspired by Dr. Calla's commitment to social service, Dr. Rajeev Saxena decided to become part of the Rotary movement and contribute to society. Even today, he expresses deep gratitude toward Dr. Calla for introducing him to a platform that allows him to serve the community. He is equally thankful to Rotary Club President Meeta Mathur and fellow members who continue to work tirelessly for social welfare through various meaningful initiatives.

Apart from engineering and social service, music has always occupied a special place in Dr. Saxena's life. During his university years, he served as the Cultural Secretary for Music and actively participated in cultural activities. His passion for music continues today, and through a Rotary Fellowship group, he has organized numerous musical and cultural programs that not only entertain members but also strengthen camaraderie and fellowship among members. He believes that music has the power to bring people together, inspire positivity, and strengthen human connections.

However, Dr. Saxena recalls, the road to success was not without challenges. One of the most difficult phases of his life came when he lost his father while studying in Class 12. Faced with financial difficulties and family responsibilities at a young age, he supported his education by giving tuition. Despite these hardships, he remained determined to achieve his dream of becoming an engineer. Through hard work, perseverance, and self-belief, he successfully completed his education and built a remarkable career.

Throughout his career, he received immense support from his family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. He remains grateful to all those who stood by him during difficult times and helped him fulfill his aspirations. Even while working in the power sector and managing family responsibilities, he never lost sight of his goals and continuously worked toward personal and professional growth.

Among the personalities who have influenced him the most is Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Rajeev Saxena always draws inspiration from Vivekananda’s famous quote,

He often associates these qualities with the spirit that helped him complete his Ph.D. and achieve success in life.
