Opting out of his family business, Rajeev chose to become a doctor to do something different with his life. With his hard work and determination, he became a specialist  and also founded his own hospital.

Dr. Rajeev Agarwal is a Paediatrician and Founder-Director of KKasturi Medicare Pvt.Ltd. in Mumbai. He has been a practising paediatrician for the past twenty-three years.

Dr. Rajeev is a Mumbai native. Mumbai is where he finished his high school and undergraduate studies.  He completed his MBBS and MD in Paediatrics in Karad, Maharashtra's Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Rajeev recalls that as a young child, he was a diligent student who always placed first or second in examinations. In addition, he remembers playing cricket with his pals on the school pitch.

Dr. Agarwal discloses that he had always desired to pursue a new career path and not be employed in his family's construction and building company. He made the decision to study medicine and become a doctor since he did well in school. He put in a lot of work, and the Krishna Institute of Medical Science in Karad, Maharashtra, accepted him into its MBBS programme based on his qualifications. Following that, he completed an MD in Paediatrics at the same university. Then, he returned to Mumbai to take up his position at Bhatia Hospital. Later on, he began working on his own.

Speaking about his struggles, Dr. Rajeev asserts that difficulties help us grow as people and become better versions of ourselves. He claims that coming from a large metropolis like Mumbai and then relocating to a tiny place like Karad for his MBBS presented a unique set of difficulties at first, to the point that he even hated going to college. But looking back, he claims that his alma mater is the reason behind what he is now.  In addition, he found it difficult to please his patients with his care and services when he opened his own hospital. Additionally, at first, juggling his personal and professional life appeared difficult. But he managed to carry on with his family's help.

Dr. Agarwal replies that his parents are the only people he looks up to when questioned about role models. He claims that his parents instilled in him the value of upholding morality in all facets of life.

Speaking of his accomplishments, Dr. Rajeev states that he has a great deal of them. His greatest accomplishment, though, is that his family and peers view him as a successful individual. In addition, he has received several honours from the Indian Medical Association, which is another accomplishment.

According to his success mantra, you will undoubtedly succeed in what you do if you continue to be true and faithful to your work. However, this will happen gradually.

Giving his opinion on the relative importance of education vs experience, he states that both are valuable and enhance one another.

Dr. Rajeev advises prospective medical professionals to reconsider their choice to become doctors as the field is heavily regulated by law and even a little transgression might result in legal action being brought against them by their patients. In addition, he tells them that everything else will fall into place if they constantly work in their parents' and their financial interests.

Reflecting on his COVID experience, Dr. Agarwal states that the epidemic helped us recognise that nobody is unbeatable or beyond the rules of nature. He claims that even with all the resources at his disposal, he still felt powerless when he was unable to give oxygen to COVID patients at his hospital.

He believes there is a severe lack of physicians in this sector, therefore if he could travel back in time via a time machine, he would want to consider getting an MD in medicine.

He enjoys taking long drives, watching films and cricket matches in his free time.
